Qigong

Qigong is the Mandarin Chinese term used to describe various Chinese systems of physical and mental training for health, [1] martial arts [2] and self-enlightenment. [3]

Jow Ga style

I am often asked what kind of style Jow Ga is. It is not a single style but an extension of styles. Jow Lung founded Jow Ga in the early 1900's. At the time of inception Jow Ga was labeled as having the head of Hung Gar, the taill of Choy Gar and the patterns of the tiger and leopard. It came to be known as a combination of these forms as the essential techniques incorporated the muscular and mighty movements of Hung Gar and the swift footwork and complex kicking of Choy Gar, making it a very effective form of self defense with emphasis on simultaneous attack and defense.

Jow Kwoon

We will be moving to a new location. The new Jow Kwoon will be down the road from our current location. It is much bigger to accomodate more students.

Lion Dancing

Yellow and red lion dance

We do a lot of lion dance performances throughout the year for various occasions and corporate events.

A bit of history on lion dance:

Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in chinese culture and is most often seen during times of celebration. Lion dance performances can usually be seen at big events, such as Chinese New Year, openings of stores or even chinese themed events.
